Accessories go Tribal!!

As we all know iLoooooove statement pieces and the latest one for accessories is the tribal necklace. They're very similar to the bib like one Im wearing above (right side pic). The great thing about wearing them is you don't have to do much else w/ your ensemble. Keep silhouettes simple and hair pulled back. Let these statement pieces well...make a statement!
(Jessica Alba wearing Anndra Neeris Checkered Choker $575)

(Leighton Meester in a Chanel Necklace $4600)

(Olivia Palermo in Mawi's Sunray Tube Necklace $635)
Don't have the big bucks like these gorgeous women? That's ok. I don't either. Retailers such as Forever 21, Bebe and H&M usually have great pieces for a fraction of the price. The necklaces Im wearing in the two photos were #1: $15 from Forever21.com and #2: $10 from Charlotte Rousse. Charlotte Rousse always has a big accessory section.  Im sure these retailers will have tribal accessories this Spring as well. :-)

Dirty Money meets Haute Couture

Dirty Money visited Paris to promote their new album, Last Train to Paris. As of January 9th, the album has only sold around 172,000 copies in the U.S. making it Diddy's lowest selling album to date. It was released in December 2010(so there's still time to do #s..maybe. -_-).
While in Paris, the trio bumped into a few fashion icons, such as Karl Lagerfield, at the Dior Homme Fall/Winter 2011-2012 collection catwalk show. Many came to show support during the Paris Menswear Fashion Week.

Nicki's DJ Semtex interview.. & her Gaga'esk wardrobe.

Last week, America's favorite Barbie, Nicki Minaj,  invaded the UK. Stepping out in pink from head to toe with a Marge Simpson like wig, Ms. Minaj chopped it up w/ DJ Semtex at 1Xtra, the UK's first national black music station. This is the man responsible for establishing the Urban department for Def Jam UK in 2001..if you didn't know, now ya know. The two talked about her Drake collab on 'Moment for Life', her top 5 Pink Friday joints, mixtapes, getting on with Young Money and getting kicked out of her London hotel (Yes, the Dorchester Hotel kicked her out because it was pandemonium outside while she was there! Apparently a few of Nicki's barbs got to fighting plus an ambulance came to the scene. Not too mention the round-the-clock crowd outside the hotel's door.). For the full interview check out:

Once I get more info on what designers Nicki was wearing during her UK trip, I will let you guys know!
"You can't have me w/o my barbz! We're a packaged deal!!!...."-Nicki tweeted after being asked to leave the Dorchester Hotel.

Ms. Berry...Ms. Berry

The 68th Annual Golden Globes Awards took place on Sunday, January 16th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Many of Hollywood's best actors and actresses came out to celebrate nominations in various categories. My favorite part of the award show usually happens before the show actually begins. You guessed it: the red carpet! Everyone one looked amazing!! It seemed as if green, red and black were the chosen colors for the night. More than likely your favorite actress had on one of those three. iKnow mine did!

Ms. Halle Berry, looked UH-MAYYYYZing that night. Wearing a black dress by Nina Ricci, Halle was there as a nominee in the category Best Actress Drama for her role in Frankie and Alice. Natalie Portman, who also looked great might iAdd, actually walked away with the award. (That's ok Halle! We still love you! lol)

Nina Ricci fitted bustier, sheer skirt w/ thigh high slit

Chanel's new Ambassador is....*Drumroll*

Somewhere around the world, there are women like me, sitting at their desk at work, daydreaming about the day they get to sit front row at one of Chanel's fashion shows..or visit her boutique/home in Paris..or just walk down the street w/ a classic Chanel handbag that costs $2500+..You know the one..black, quilted design w/ the long chain strap..*sigh* :) Well for Blake Lively, that is no longer just a dream.

Karl Lagerfield, Chanel's creative director w/ Blake Lively
Blake Lively is the official Ambassador for the new Chanel Madmoiselle handbag line. Congrats Blake!!! The 23 year old actress/ model, who is well known for her role as Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, has graced magazine covers such as Vogue, appeared at #4 in Maxim's 2010 hott 100 and named one the 35 most stylish women to look out for. Now, she can add Chanel Ambassador to that list.  Ad Campaigns  hit magazines in April 2011.
